EU AND CANADA ANNOUNCE HISTORIC ALLIANCEUrsula von der Leyen has said that the EU discussed today the possibility of Canada becoming its first-ever "Associate Member", alongside several proposals, including:
- Full participation in Erasmus+.
- Access to the SAFE defence programme.
- Participation in Horizon Europe.
- An agreement with the European Investment Bank.
- Access to European supercomputing infrastructure.
- Exploring Canadian participation in Galileo, the EU’s satellite navigation system.
